• Full duration of training: 2 days

• 2 categories of participation

  • A) in person participation - 2 days at SESAME

    limited participants (accommodation is generously provided by the SESAME Synchrotron facilities)

  • B) online participation - 1 day of online lectures (May 11th)

    unlimited online participants

• for in person participants:

  • 1st day (May 11th): lectures in-person/online

  • 2nd day (May 12th): hands on at SESAME BEATS beamline with the beamline scientist

• 3-5 COMULISglobe travel grants

2x travel support for Euro-BioImaging Node staff from EVOLVE

What is SESAME?

SESAME (Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East) is a “third-generation” synchrotron light source that was officially opened in Allan (Jordan) on 16 May 2017. It is the first synchrotron light source in the Middle East and neighbouring countries, and also the region’s first major international centre of excellence.
