WG1: Correlated Light & Electron Microscopy (CLEM)
The objective of WG1 is to develop CLEM as a CMI case study, setting up CLEM standards and triggering novel CLEM approaches through best practices. These standards and developments will foster the recognition of CLEM in life sciences and serve as reference points for other CMI approaches.
WG2: Preclinical Hybrid Imaging (PHI)
WG2 focuses on standardizing existing and triggering novel PHI approaches through best practices. WG2 also aims at promoting PHI and its benefits as a reference point for other CMI approaches.
WG3: Novel Multimodal Correlative Imaging (CMI) Pipelines
The objective of WG3 is to trigger novel CMI approaches beyond CLEM and PHI, and to bridge biological and preclinical imaging. The WG aims at working towards the recognition of CMI as a versatile tool in biomedical research.
WG4: Correlation Software
WG4 aims at improving and developing concerted software solutions for image correlation and visualization of multimodal data sets, by involving all relevant scientific disciplines and, in particular, including software developers to receive their input on image data handling and analysis. Collaborative initiatives are facilitated through networking, workshops, establishment of open databases, and active communication with the wide group of stakeholders.
WG5: Outreach, Dissemination & Partnerships
WG5 fosters the recognition of CMI in life sciences as a versatile tool for holistic analyses, which is indispensable for its further development, use, and boost of European competitiveness in the field of imaging technologies. The WG works on the dissemination of the action activities through websites, social media and publications, as well as, by organizing annual conferences, WGs meetings and training courses. WG5 also promotes staff exchanges through STSMs, and works towards the creation of synergies between CMI and existing imaging-related communities and industry.
