In retrospect: COMULIS Conference 2022

Correlated Multimodal Imaging – enabling discoveries from atoms to anatomy

Following the successful COMULIS conferences in Austria and Sweden, the 3rd Annual Conference of the COMULIS COST Action will take place as an in-person event, with FREE OF CHARGE participation (a nominal contribution towards meals and transportation is requested from those who wish to avail of these services), 21-22 September 2022 (Work Group Meetings on September 20th), in Nicosia, Cyprus. The COMULIS Conference will be preceded by a day dedicated to COMULIS internal Working Group and Management Committee meetings, to work on joint deliverables and objectives.

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the COMULIS Conference on the beautiful island of Cyprus, and at the science, technology and innovation-focused Cyprus Institute hosting the event (www.cyi.ac.cy). COMULIS 2022 is designed to bring experts, researchers, facility staff and exhibitors together from different imaging modalities to stimulate knowledge exchange and the formation of new collaborations. The conference program offers an attractive combination of oral presentations and posters from electron and light microscopy, X-ray, MRI/PET scans to image analysis, and correlated multimodal imaging in synchrotron radiation facilities, with selected poster presenters, invited for short flash talks. It will also provide excellent opportunities for discussions and informal gatherings. Emphasis is on correlative imaging methods (CMI) able to capture the dynamics of life, spanning the whole range from molecular resolution to imaging whole organisms. Industry talks are included and provide opportunities to discuss marketable solutions in CMI and cross-corporate workflows to facilitate multimodal imaging.

Posters should be A0 portrait size (or smaller), pins will be provided to attach the poster to the poster boards.

Delegates presenting the slides are requested to send their presentations in advance, if at all possible, by 9am CET on Monday, 19 September to this email address a.alexandrou@cyi.ac.cy.

Given the limited time available for the poster flash talks, delegates are kindly advised to limit the number of poster flash talk slides to maximum three, with further details provided on the poster itself.
